Drinking this green juice in the morning helps me have a better day; feeling happier, healthier, more focussed and energetic. It is actually true – juicing is not just ‘another trend’. I feel a big difference when I skip it (which I sometimes do on lazy days, there is after all a whole lot of carrying home vegetables from the market involved!) and when I don’t. We’ve also managed – after much convincing – to get our kids to drink it which is an amazing feeling as indeed it helps them too to all those good feelings of health and energy.
- A massive bunch of leafy greens, for example approximately 10 large green kale leaves (what I have been using lately).
- 1 large cucumber
- 5 stalks of celery
- 1 large green apple
- 2 large lemons, peeled
- 2 thumb size turmeric root
- 1 cup (or more) coconut water
- Run all ingredients through your juicer, ending with the coconut water. Drink immediately.
